China Mainland: The First LCD Module for Handset Use Unveiled in Shenyang

In Shenyang China the first LCD module for handset use under the brand of "xin'ai" was unveiled by Xinning ACE Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. The new product filled the gap in Northeast China, indicating that there could be a base for producing not only the handset, but also the supplementary products like LCD module etc. Besides, this also shows that a handset industrial chain comes into being in Shenyang China.

The "Xin'ning ACE" is a Sino-Korea joint venture between Liaoning Yike Industrial Co., Ltd and Korea-based ACE Incorporation. The investment involves US$200 million and ten lines for producing 1-8 inch and 9-24 inch LCD screens.

The first two lines have been operating while the left eight lines will be put into production by the yearend. Annual capacity of the ten lines can reach 143.6 million units with annual production value of US$909 million and taxes of US$303 million.
